Edinburgh International Airport is around 10 miles west of the city, and is well serviced by routes to Europe and America.
A lot of people arriving in Edinburgh Airport have transited through London, one of the world’s major airports. However each year Edinburgh Airport adds more direct routes to European destinations.
There is a dedicated and reliable airport bus service into the city (the Airlink Express, no 100) which runs every 10 minutes during peak hours, and every 30 minutes at all other times. The airport also has a substantial long term parking car park.
There is a good selection of hotels near Edinburgh Airport. Quality Hotel Edinburgh Airport is situated conveniently next to the airport and runs its own shuttle service to the airport. A free shuttle is also offered by Hilton Edinburgh Airport, and will get you to the airport in 2 minutes. 1km closer to town you will find the Norton House Hotel and Spa, a lovely Victorian mansion built in 1840, which offers a half-way house between the city centre and the airport. If you stay in the city, the drive to the airport is around 25-35 minutes.
