Aberdeen Hotels

Aberdeen, Scotland’s third largest city is the principal sea-port in the north east of Scotland, and is characterized by its grey granite buildings and outstanding floral displays. The large number of oil workers in the city en route to the North Sea platforms ensures a healthy supply of Aberdeen hotels and good competition among them, helping to keep room prices low across accommodation in Aberdeen.

Aberdeen is very distinct from other Scottish cities such as Edinburgh and Glasgow; its residents have a strong accent and distinctive character.

Whilst in Aberdeen visit the Aberdeen Art Gallery, the Gordon Highlander’s Museum and the Maritime Museum. The Maritime Museum is rated five star by the Scottish Tourist Board and offers a brilliant introduction to the intricate workings of oil rigs and ships, as well as a excellent insight into Aberdeen’s rich maritime history. Aberdeen also has a good live music scene; venues such as The Lemon Tree and Moshulu attract international artists for a wide range of tastes.

Aberdeen has the usual range of chain hotels, such as the Express by Holiday Inn Aberdeen City Centre and Holiday Inn Express Aberdeen Exhibition Centre, but also some of the more traditional Scottish hotels such the Royal Hotel and the Maryculter House Aberdeen Hotel.
